Confirmed: Stuxnet Launched by Israel and U.S.

On Saturday, the Gray Lady of establishment propaganda, the New York Times, passively admitted that the Stuxnet virus responsible for crippling Iran’s nuclear energy program was engineered by Israeli and U.S. intelligence.

“Officially, neither American nor Israeli officials will even utter the name of the malicious computer program, much less describe any role in designing it,” writes the Times. “But Israeli officials grin widely when asked about its effects.”

A number of computer scientists, nuclear enrichment experts and former officials, say the covert race to create Stuxnet was a joint project between the Americans and the Israelis, with help from the Germans and the British.

The effort to sabotage Iran began during the Bush administration. In early 2009, Bush signed off on an effort to undermine the electrical and computer systems around Natanz, Iran’s major enrichment center. Obama was briefed on the plan before he took office.

In addition to gumming up Iran’s enrichment hardware, the U.S. and Israel have engaged in an assassination campaign aimed at the country’s scientists.

In November of last year, Iranian president Ahmadinejad accused Israel and the United States of killing a nuclear scientist and wounding another with a pair of bomb attacks. In January of 2009, a senior physics professor was assassinated. In 2007, Iranian state TV reported that nuclear scientist, Ardeshir Hosseinpour, died from gas poisoning. Israel’s Mossad was suspected. During the news conference, Ahmadinejad also admitted to the Stuxnet attack.

In November, it was reported that the Stuxnet virus had infected 44,000 computers worldwide.

Stuxnet is a double-edged sword. In addition to setting back Iran’s nuclear program, the sophisticated malware engineered by the U.S. and Israel at the Dimona complex in the Negev desert has been exploited to push for restrictive cybersecurity measures in the United States.

“The very fact that Stuxnet exists shows that we can no longer pretend that a cyber attack on our critical infrastructure is hypothetical and hyperbolic,” declared Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee chairman Joe Lieberman in November. “You’re talking about a very well-resourced and structured adversary.”

Lieberman and Susan Collins, the panel’s ranking Republican, used Stuxnet to push for their cyber-security bill, entitled The Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act of 2010.

The bill would amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002 and extend the already-broad definition of “critical infrastructure” to the internet and would allow Obama to shut down not only entire areas of the internet, but also businesses and industries that fail to comply with government orders following the declaration of a national emergency, thus increasing fears that the legislation will be used as a political tool.

“Right now China, the government, can disconnect parts of its Internet in case of war and we need to have that here too,” Lieberman said in June.

“The Senator’s reference to China is a telling revelation of what the cybersecurity agenda is really all about. China’s vice-like grip over its Internet systems has very little to do with ‘war’ and everything to do with silencing all dissent against the state,” Paul Joseph Watson wrote at the time.

Lieberman and Collins are not the only enemies of a free and open internet. Also in 2009, senators Jay Rockefeller and Olympia Snowe proposed the CyberSecurity Act of 2009 that would give Obama similar all-encompassing powers over the internet. Under that legislation, the Commerce Secretary would be given the power to have access to all data over networks deemed as “critical infrastructure.”

Rockefeller has said that we would be better off if the internet was never invented. He added that the internet represents a serious threat to national security.

In addition, according to Rockefeller, corporate media that wanders from the government generated script also represents a threat. “There is a bug inside of that wants to get the FCC to say to Fox News and MSNBC… out, off,” he said during a hearing on retransmission negotiations between broadcasters and cable providers. “We have journalism that is always ravenous for the next rumor, but insufficiently hungry for the facts that can nourish our democracy.”

Advanced malware designed by intelligence agencies will continue to be used to advance the argument that the government has to institute totalitarian control over the internet in order to save us. Our globalist control freak rulers will not rest until they neuter the internet. Stuxnet is simply another tool in the quest for that objective.

Is the war between Iran and Israel already starting? You must read this!

Iranian president Mahmoud  Ahmadinejad, in a classic “in-your-face” raspberry to the west, will come to southern Lebanon next week (despite flop-kneed protest from the U.S.)   He is scheduled to appear with reclusive Hizbollah header,  Hassan Nasrallah, who  is rumored to be coming out of his bunker for the first time since 2008.  Nasrallah  has lived in hiding since the fighting  with Israel in 2006.  The motivation and grim facts in the background of this visit should worry everyone.

According to Debka. com below, Iranian National guard have taken over the south of Lebanon to keep Ahmadinejad safe, a highly unusual and intimidating sight….and there’s more.

Imagine the spectacle of A-jad, a madman who wants to wipe Israel “from the face of the Earth,” and Nasrallah who has called Israel, “the state of the grandsons of apes and pigs – the Zionist Jews,”  standing on a platform throwing rocks across the border into Israel.

The Daily Star in Lebanon says Ahmadinejad and Nassrallah are scheduled for Al-Raya stadium together next week.  The facility holds 40,000.

Fred Hof, the US diplomat said to have excellent connections in Damascus, is due in Beirut Thursday, Oct. 7, secretly assigned by the White House to try and get Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s visit to Lebanon cancelled. debkafile’s Middle East sources say he comes too late. Already, hectic preparations for the Oct.13-14 visit have advanced to the point that Beirut and South Lebanon up to the Israeli border have been taken over. It is now a virtual Ahmadinejad-land controlled by an estimated 2,500 members of the Revolutionary Guards special security unit who were imported for the occasion.

They were carried from Tehran by special airlift to Damascus whence a convoy of buses drove them to Beirut and then dispersed them across the Lebanese capital and the South.

debkafile’s military sources say that it is the largest contingent of IRGC special forces ever deployed outside Iran. Gen. Qasim Sulaimani, commander of the Al Qods Brigades (which is responsible for the IRGC’s external terrorist operations) arrived in Lebanon secretly to take charge of the security preparations for the visit. Wafiq Safa, head of Hizballah’ Special Security unit is acting as his deputy with  5,000 Hizballah commando fighters under his command.

Wednesday, Oct. 6, the entire Hizballah militia and its intelligence and security arms were on the highest level of the preparedness as the last arrangements for the Iranian president’s visit were put in place.

The event’s high point, our sources report, will be the joint appearance of Ahmadinejad and Hizballah leader Hassan Nasrallah, in his first public appearance in the flesh in the four years since he fled to a Beirut bunker after the 2006 war with Israel. It will also be his first visit to South Lebanon, where he will see every village, public building, road junction, highway and even one of the UN peacekeepers’ posts already plastered with Iranian flags.

At Maron al-Ras, the scene of one of the bloodiest battles of the 2006 war, a gigantic replica of the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem has been erected to symbolically mark Ahmadinejad’s visit to Lebanon as a step closer toward the “liberation” of Temple Mount from Israel.

And at Fatma Gate facing Israel’s northernmost town of Metulla, a platform has been placed in position for the Iranian president and Hizballah leader to throw rocks across the border at the Israeli population and the IDF units guarding it. They plan to enlist thousands of Lebanese villagers to stand at the border fence and join in the stone-throwing spectacle…continue to source article.

‘Obama won’t hit Iranian reactor’

Bolton claims Israel has only 3 days to strike Bushehr plant.

Former US ambassador to the UN John Bolton said he didn’t see “any signs whatsoever that President Obama would make the necessary decision” to strike Iran’s nuclear reactor, speaking in an interview with Israel Radio Tuesday.Bolton claimed Israel has only three days to strike before Russia “begins the fueling process for the Bushehr reactor this Friday,” after which any attack would cause radioactive fallout that could reach as far as the waters of the Persian Gulf.   In an interview with Fox Business Network earlier Tuesday Bolton had said the deadline was eight days, but he revised it to three in the Israel Radio interview, saying Iran and Russia had announced they would begin fueling on Friday.

“It has always been optimal that military force is used before the fuel rods are inserted,” Bolton explained. “That’s what Israel did in Osirak in 1991, and when they attacked the North Korean reactor built in Syria.” Israel bombed the Osirak nuclear reactor in Iraq in 1981, and a Syrian reactor in 2007.  However Bolton didn’t see any indication that an Israeli strike was going to happen. “Obviously if Israel were going to do something it wouldn’t exactly be advertising it. But time is short.”

Bolton said that it would be “a much more dangerous world” if Iran were to gain nuclear capability. “That’s why I think it’s so critical. It won’t stop with Iran. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, perhaps other states as well.”  Iranian nuclear chief Ali Akbar Salehi said earlier Tuesday that an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities would be an “international crime.”

In an interview with IRNA, Salehi said that the impact of such a strike would be global. “This is stipulated in the resolutions passed by the IAEA and the UN Security Council as well as in the resolution adopted at the close of the NPT Review Conference,” he stressed.  Russia, who is supplying the uranium fuel for the plant, announced last week that they will begin loading the Bushehr reactor on August 21.

In an initial interview earlier today with Fox Business Network earlier Tuesday, Bolton warned that once the Bushehr facility is operational it will be too late for a military air strike against Iran because such an attack would spread radiation and harm Iranian civilians.

“Once that uranium, once those fuel rods are very close to the reactor, certainly once they’re in the reactor, attacking it means a release of radiation, no question about it,” Bolton said.  “Iran will achieve something that no other opponent of Israel, no other enemy of the United States in the Middle East really has and that is a functioning nuclear reactor.”  Bolton was critical of Russia for aiding Iran in the fueling of the nuclear reactor.  “The Russians are, as they often do, playing both sides against the middle. The idea of being able to stick a thumb in America’s eye always figures prominently in Moscow,” Bolton concluded.
